The digital library section provides access to the online databases and Digital Institutional repository which consists of accessibility of the summer projects in e-format, question papers , syllabi, prints of the research papers etc.

    During the last academic year , the entire collection of the books is rearranged by redesigning the shelving plan. The collection is now rearranged to accommodate newer subjects and the books purchased and to create to more ease to the library users.

    User Orientation

    The basic purpose of this activity is to raise the awareness level of the newly entrant students regarding the library services, resources and the library rules and regulations for maximizing the usage of library. Library orientation for fresher was conducted during the academic year 2021-22 on online mode due to Covid-19. The library staff provides guidance to locate reading material and also to locate proper information from the library collection which helps the users in quick retrieval of the documents.

    Library Rules –

    Library rules and regulations display on library entrance wall along with library committee members boards, Library details. Newly entrant students provide I Card and Borrower Card. It facilitates users to get acquainted with the library environment.

    Best Practices –

    The library has focused benchmarking technique followed by continuous Improvement process. It has adopted innovative library services which are the best. The libraries are coping up the present scenario.

    Continues assessment

    The library has focused on continuous assessment of the library services by using quality technique. The user responses are regularly collected through informal discussion and observation technique. Efforts have been made to implement the suggestions of the user segments.

    Effective use of ICT

    The accessibility to information and the changing user expectations due to ICT has a tremendous impact on the libraries. Our library is continuously adopting the newer ways to cope with the changing scenario and particularly the extended and ever-changing expectations of the tech savvy users of computer. Library automation, deigital institutional repository, Campus 360 software, online accessibility of the databases on the campus, plagiarism testing, computerized SDI, E books search on the working hours.

    Utilization of Social Networking –

    The library is now utilizing the social networking sites such as, whatsapp, facebook, telegram, google classroom, college website.

    Use Plagiarism Policy

    The PhD research centre is equipped with the X-Plagiarism Software. Our library is playing a vital role in quality testing originality using the X-Plagiarism Software to the research papers through the report of originality. As Savitribai Phule Pune University has adopted anti- plagiarism policy to detect instances of plagiarism and thereby prevent the students and faculties from publishing, presenting and copying others’ research work as their own; all the PhD and MPharm students are therefore required to attach original report of the X-Plagiarism Software before submission of the thesis.
